Dr. Stephens은 “FDA 임상시험 중 6%의 안구에서 이 부작용이 일어났습니다”고 말했다. 그는 “현재까지는 녹내장 환자처럼 IOP가 급격하게 상승하게 될까 우려했던 환자에서는 사용을 피해왔습니다,”고 말했다. 이런 급격한 상승이 발생하게 되면, 이 안압은 플러그가 녹을 때까지, 또는 압력이 낮아질 때까지 약 1개월 간 국소 약물로 치료된다고 한다.
